Yet we fight our neighbors again

National Holiday on 30th march 2011. The day the country stood still. Glory and success awaiting...call what you wish. Its the mother of all battles. And more so because it is a India-Pakistan encounter yet again in a world cup. But this is a semi-final. One step away from glory and history. And the most hated rival standing in your way. Its the war of the decade you can say. When Mohali hosts the epic battle a billion strong fans across India will sit glued to the TV sets from the word go.
Analysing the Indian team, it has showed grit and determination against the mighty Aussies. The main difference that separated India and Australia at Ahmedabad was Yuvraj Singh. India plays with 12 players in a match. Because the team's number 12 jersey bats more than 50 runs and bowls 10 overs. Sehwag looks more explosive than ever. But what to say about a certain 37 year kid in the team called Sachin Tendulkar? Is he playing like human? No...its divine to watch that fellow in the middle of the crease. Ashvin has been a revealation in the circumstances. He has proved to be much better than Chawla. But captain cool's master stroke : Raina instead of Pathan. Boy, what a decision it was. The guts of Ricky Ponting and team Australia was too less to handle.
Pakistan's strength is bowling. With Shoaib Akhtar and Umar Gul firing it like traces from alternate ends, a powerful opening spell awaits India. But just see the batting. It has not been very consistent. Afridi has lost his boom boom flavor. He has become just a spinner. The other batsmen look disastrous at times.
Well, I just have a small feeling that it would be too difficult for Pakistan to handle a resurgent India. And more so because its Mohali. The match will no doubt be keenly contested but this has a sinister history for Pakistan. Will they break the jinx this time. I doubt so.
